Our History

In 1853, the Reverend Asa White gathered a group of worshippers in the northern Napa Valley, on a property loaned for a new church start. A simple white barn was built as an initial house of worship, before a permanent church was built in the nearby, recently organized village of St Helena.

The church has been here ever since 1867 at 1310 Adams Street. It has seen generations of members and associates, times of growth and of lean years too. 35 pastors have preached and served here over a period of nearly 170 years.

We welcome you to join us and be a part of this building of God’s kingdom in wine country.
